Dokak
A mobile web + app platform for exploring and playing the sounds of mechanical keyboard switches. "Dokak-dokak" is a Korean onomatopoeia for the sound of typing on a mechanical keyboard.
A place to pick and hear switch sounds
Dokak is a mobile web + app for browsing and listening to the sounds of mechanical keyboard switches. You can look up switches by brand and type (Linear / Tactile / Clicky) and play each one's typing sound right away to compare them. Several sounds can also play over each other.
You listen on the switch detail screen, and on the Sound Check screen you can try a typing test yourself.
A studio for decorating your own keyboard
The heart of Dokak is the "Studio". Looking at the keyboard in a 3D preview, you assign a switch to each spot in three modes (view, switch select and keycap select) and decorate keycaps with colors, text, images, size and rotation. Finished layouts can be saved, then edited or viewed again later.
A sound collection built together
You can like sounds and images and leave comments, and users fill the collection together by uploading their own sounds and images. You sign in with a Google account, and account deletion is supported.
How it is built
The 3D studio used on the web opens the same way inside the app, so you get the same experience decorating keycaps on iOS and Android.
