Account and Data Deletion
This page explains account and data deletion for the Android game "The Oddballs I Met" (peek-a-moo, package name org.j2w2.peekamoo). This English version is provided for convenience; if it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
This app has no sign-up and no login. The only value that tells users apart is a random anonymous identifier the App creates itself, so the Company does not know who a user is. That is why deleting server data requires the link code shown in the App. Please see Section 2 below.
1. Data Subject to Deletion
| Category | Details | Storage location |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous device identifier | A random UUID created by the App on first launch | App-private storage on the device |
| Local settings | Sound on/off, whether the tutorial was completed, etc. | App-private storage on the device |
| Progress data | Answers attempted and whether they were correct, hint use, rice grains held, titles, collection progress, missions completed | Server (Cloud Run + Company-operated DB) |
| Link information | Records of link codes issued and used through Account Sync | |
| Advertising ID (AAID) | A value handled by the ad SDK; the App does not store it | Reset it yourself in Android settings (Section 4) |
2. How to Delete
Method A — Delete device data only (uninstall the App)
On the home screen or in the app drawer, press and hold the The Oddballs I Met icon and select Uninstall. App-private storage is removed along with it, so the anonymous identifier and local settings are deleted.
If you delete the App, the device's anonymous identifier is lost and your previous progress cannot be loaded again. Even if you reinstall it on the same device, you start as a new user. The progress data left on the server is no longer linked to any user, but the records themselves are not deleted immediately. If you want complete deletion, please follow Method B below first.
Method B — Completely delete server progress data as well
Because the App has no login and the Company cannot identify users, you must provide your link code so that the relevant data can be found and deleted. Please check the code before deleting the App.
- Open the App and go to Missions & Titles (미션·칭호) at the top.
- Under Account Sync (계정 싱크), tap Create code (코드 만들기).
- Write down the code exactly as shown.
- Request deletion, including the code, by email to the address in Section 3 below.
- After you receive a confirmation reply, delete the App (Method A).
Do not share the link code you issued with anyone else. A device on which this code is entered can switch over to that account.
3. How to Request Deletion from the Company
- Email: [email protected]
- Subject: [The Oddballs I Met] Data deletion request
- Include the link code issued in the App in the body.
- Processing: within 30 days of the request date
If you have already deleted the App and cannot check your link code, please tell us so. In this case, however, there is no clue linking the records left on the server to you, so it is difficult to pick out and delete specific data. Those records do not contain information that can identify a user and remain unlinked to any user.
4. Resetting the Advertising ID
The advertising ID (AAID) is a value managed by Android, not by the App. In Settings → Google → Ads, you can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalized ads.
5. If You Use the Toss Mini App
In the mini app inside the Toss app, users are distinguished by an anonymous key issued by Toss instead of the device UUID. You can request deletion of the mini app's progress data in the same way as above; in this case too, please include the link code shown in the App.

The items of information the App processes and their retention periods are set out in Articles 2 and 6 of the Privacy Policy, and the terms on retention and loss of progress data are set out in Article 10 of the Terms of Service.
