Child Safety Standards
These are the standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) for PigNote, a location-based journaling app (package name org.j2w2.pignote). This English version is provided for convenience; if it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
Zero tolerance — PigNote does not allow child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form. Confirmed content is removed, the related accounts are deleted, and the matter is reported to law enforcement and relevant agencies in accordance with applicable laws.
1. Prohibited Content and Conduct
WISP (the "Company") prohibits the following in PigNote (the "Service"). This applies equally to every area of the Service, including the photos, text and stickers of notes (sticky notes), comments, nicknames and object anchor photos.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video or text that depicts children or adolescents sexually or treats them as sexual objects. This includes not only real recordings but also synthesized, generated and drawn forms.
- Grooming of children — approaching a child or trying to build a child's trust for sexual purposes, or inducing sexual conversation
- Luring to meetings for sexual exploitation — using records left at places or the friend feature to call a child out to a specific place or to demand a meeting
- Sexual extortion (sextortion) of children; requesting, distributing or trading sexual images
- Child trafficking; advertising or brokering sexual services involving children
- Exposing a child's identity or location (school, home, etc.) and putting the child in danger
- Glorifying or encouraging any of the above, or sharing ways to find related content
These standards apply together with the prohibited conduct in the Terms of Service (Article 8), and violations are acted on without prior notice.
2. How to Report
Users can report directly in the app.
- Report a note — On another person's note detail screen, open the menu at the top right, tap Report (신고) and choose a reason. For content related to child safety, please select Harmful or offensive content (유해·불쾌한 콘텐츠).
- Report a comment — Tap the flag icon next to the comment.
- Block the author — Tap Block author (작성자 차단) in the same menu. You will no longer see each other's records, and friend requests are blocked as well.
The reported record is immediately hidden from the user who reported it, and a record reported by 3 different users is automatically hidden from all users until the Company has reviewed it.
For reports related to child safety, if you also notify us at the email below in addition to the in-app report, we handle it first. People who do not use the app can also report by email.
- Email: [email protected]
- Subject: [PigNote] Child safety report
- Please include: the place or screen where the problematic note or comment was, the author's nickname or friend code, and the time you found it
If a child is in danger right now, please call 112 (police) before reporting in the app. Help is also available from 112 for child abuse, and from the Digital Sex Crime Victim Support Center of the Korea Women's Human Rights Institute (02-735-8994) for digital sex crime victimization.
3. The Company's Handling Procedure
- Receipt and review — Child safety reports are reviewed ahead of other reports, without delay after they are received.
- Content removal — When content is confirmed to be CSAE or CSAM, the note, photo or comment is deleted immediately. Even where a decision is difficult, the content stays hidden until the review is complete.
- Account action — The account that posted the content and all records of that account are deleted.
- Reporting and preservation — When child sexual abuse material is confirmed, it is reported, in accordance with applicable laws, to law enforcement agencies such as the Korean National Police Agency and to the Korea Communications Standards Commission. Cases involving users outside Korea are reported to the relevant regional body, such as NCMEC (the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children). Upon a lawful request from a law enforcement agency, the Company provides the materials needed for the investigation, and for this purpose may preserve materials to the extent necessary and for the period permitted by law.
- Notice of outcome — Those who reported by email receive a reply with the outcome. However, information that could hinder an investigation may not be disclosed.
4. Service Design for Prevention
- PigNote is not directed at children under the age of 14.
- Users' real-time location is not disclosed to anyone, and the coordinates of records shown to other users are blurred to a grid of about 30 m. There is no background location tracking.
- Location metadata (EXIF GPS) is removed from uploaded photos.
- Friendships are formed through friend codes only when both sides approve, and there is no feature for sending private messages to strangers.
- Location safety tips (위치 안전 안내) in the note detail menu give safety guidelines, such as avoiding visits late at night.
5. Legal Compliance
The Company complies with child protection laws, including the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth Against Sex Offenses and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
